“Detached is a short film that takes place in East Harlem with two intersecting stories. One narrative follows a young Puerto Rican man, G-Boy, a newly freed criminal trying to get back on his feet. Living in the same neighborhood, is a 15-year old school going kid, Delonte, who is focused on doing well on his Advance Placement Test so that he can escape his neighborhood through his education.”
